The world is changing and I'm here to usher in a brash and confident brand of Speculative Fiction with characters not usually featured in the genre I love. My self-styled Urban Fantastic genre is crime fiction, action-adventure, horror, fantasy and sci-fi - that highlights the black experience through the lens of the extraordinary. I grew up in Jamaica, leaving the UK when I was young and was educated there. Many of my influences are from that fantastic island, but I have an eclectic mixture of experiences that inspired my stories. My writing career started here in the UK with a Jamaican crime thriller that I penned called Dancehall. My next novel was In the Days of Dread – a futuristic thriller - that highlighted a united Africa and Rastafari as a world religion. Bushman, a crime thriller, was released in 2007 and is the beginning of espionage series featuring a government agent from Jamaica. 69 an erotic thriller based in futuristic London was released in 2008. In 2015 I rolled out a Charlie’s Angels type supernatural thriller series called Bad II the Bone and the second in the series Good II be Bad in 2019. In 2018, I published the beginning of a young adult sci-fi-fantasy series entitled the Joshua N'Gon: Last Prince of Alkebulahn and Joshua N'Gon and the Battle for St. Augustine under the name of Anthony Hewitt. I have acquired a new focus that will see me produce some groundbreaking fiction in the future, that will entertain and inspire. For all those who don’t know me, I’m hoping this will be my opportunity to remedy that situation. Creativity is the greatest rebellion in existence. Join me on my journey at www.antonmarks.com Peace. Love and Power Anton Marks
