Anne Poirier is a best-selling author, nationally recognized body image expert, and certified Intuitive Eating counselor who helps people break free from diet culture, body shame, and the exhausting pursuit of trying to always“fix” their bodies.

With a background in exercise science and decades of experience as a fitness professional, Anne once believed confidence would come from changing her body, until her own lived experience (and years of professional work) revealed a different truth.

Today, she is a leading voice in the body neutrality movement, helping readers and clients build self-trust, self-respect, and peace with their bodies, without dieting, restriction, or shame.

Anne is the author of three impactful books:
The Body Joyful: My Journey from Self-Loathing to Self-Acceptance, a best-selling memoir and guide that blends personal story, research, and practical tools to help readers reclaim confidence and self-worth.

The Body Neutrality Playbook, a compassionate, hands-on workbook filled with exercises and practices designed to interrupt negative self-talk, dismantle diet culture beliefs, and build a kinder relationship with the body.

Not a Fat Annie, a heartfelt tween book that addresses bullying, body shaming, and negative self-talk, offering young readers—and the adults who support them—language, tools, and hope.

Anne’s work has been praised by leading voices in the non-diet and mental health space:

“Through thought-provoking exercises, this playbook helps you dismantle negative beliefs about your worth and appearance and find gratitude for the vessel that is your body.”
— Elyse Resch, MS, RDN, CEDS-C, FAND, Co-author of Intuitive Eating

“What Anne offers is a practical, compassionate framework for interrupting shame, stigma, and diet culture. This book is an invitation into a kinder, more grounded relationship with your body.”
— Robyn Pashby, PhD, Clinical Health Psychologist

Anne is the founder of The Body Joyful Revolution, a global movement dedicated to shifting the conversation away from weight and appearance and toward body respect, emotional well-being, and joyful living. Through her books, speaking, workshops, and coaching, she helps people of all ages reclaim the energy, confidence, and presence that diet culture quietly steals.

Her core message is simple: Your worth has nothing to do with your weight.
