Dr. Anne Dranitsaris, Ph.D. — Transformational Psychotherapist, Author & Speaker Dr. Anne Dranitsaris is not your typical psychotherapist — she’s a pioneer who has spent over four decades decoding why people hold themselves back from their potential and showing them how to break free. As a psychotherapist, leadership coach, and author of more than 75 books, she has helped thousands of individuals and leaders become who they are meant to be --- in their lives, relationships and careers. Her work bridges the worlds of psychology and leadership, therapy and transformation. Whether working one-on-one with clients in private practice or guiding senior executives toward authentic leadership, Anne brings a rare combination of clinical depth and practical wisdom. A Lifelong Journey into Human Potential Anne’s fascination with human behavior began early in her career and evolved into a lifelong pursuit. In the 1980s, she completed an intensive six-year diploma program at the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy, immersing herself in the works of Carl Jung and other psychoanalytic and developmental theorists. While establishing her private practice, she earned her Ph.D. in Therapeutic Counselling from the Open International University for Alternative Medicine. Her passion for Jung’s Psychological Type Theory led her to become a Certified MBTI® Practitioner, integrating personality type into her clinical and organizational work. Over the years, she’s become recognized as one of North America’s leading experts on Jungian Type Theory and its real-world applications for growth, leadership, and relationships. An Integrative, Brain-Based Approach Dr. Dranitsaris’ method is both rigorous and deeply human. She integrates psychodynamic therapy, developmental and self-psychology, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and neuropsychology into a unified framework that helps people understand the connection between their childhood conditioning, brain organization, and self-protective behaviors. Her psycho-educational, brain-based approach empowers clients to identify limiting patterns, build emotional intelligence, and rewire the neural pathways that keep them from living authentically and achieving their potential. A Personal Story of Reunion and Purpose Anne’s own life journey has shaped her work in profound ways. Reuniting with her daughter, Heather Dranitsaris-Hilliard, whom she gave up for adoption at birth, became a defining chapter in both of their lives. Their shared purpose — helping people realize who they are meant to be—inspired working together at Sage Developmental Resources, which later evolved into Caliber Leadership Systems. During a hiatus in their partnership, Anne founded the Centre for Mindful Therapies, offering the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Program and introducing mindfulness into psychotherapy and leadership development long before it became mainstream. Books that Transform An article Anne wrote for O, The Oprah Magazine—“Who Are You Meant to Be?”—sparked the co-authored book WHO ARE YOU MEANT TO BE?, a groundbreaking guide that inspired the creation of the Striving Styles Personality System® (SSPS®). The SSPS® integrates neuroscience, personality type, and attachment theory to help people move from their self-protective “Imposter Persona” to their Authentic Self—a model now used by coaches, leaders, and therapists worldwide. She and Heather also co-authored SO, YOU THINK YOU CAN LEAD, a practical guide for developing leadership authority and emotional intelligence. The book forms the foundation of their acclaimed leadership development programs, used by executives and teams across industries. Anne’s more recent works—POWER PAST THE IMPOSTER SYNDROME, BECOME WHO YOU ARE MEANT TO BE IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE, BECOME WHO YOU ARE MEANT TO BE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIPS, and recently released NOT BROKEN, JUST DELAYED—reveal how early experiences and brain development shape the beliefs that keep people stuck. Her step-by-step frameworks help readers reprogram self-limiting thoughts, build new neural pathways, and live from their Authentic Self. A Voice for Authentic Growth Today, Anne continues to write, teach, and speak about the power of brain-based development, self-leadership, and authentic living. She is a frequent podcast guest, guest writer, and speaker, known for her insight, humor, and clarity in explaining complex psychological concepts in ways that inspire action. She lives with her husband, Blake, on a peaceful lake northeast of Toronto, Canada—a fitting setting for someone whose life’s work is about helping others find inner calm and purpose amidst chaos.
