When I was a little girl, I didn't want to be a doctor or an astronaut, and I definitely didn't want to be a writer. I was going to be an Egyptologist, and that was that. One day, while working as a library aide at my elementary school, 10-year-old me picked up a beat-up book called The Reluctant God by Pamela F. Service (who wouldn’t with that cover?). The story wasn't long, but it had a time-traveling Egyptian prince and a plucky, strong-willed girl who came together to solve the mystery and save the day. It inspired me. These days I work in the glamorous world of HR, and at night I write love stories. A far cry from being an Egyptologist, but at least nobody is cursed… probably.
