Anna Ceguerra is a Sydney-based author, artist, and self-publisher — and the founder of A Whim Away, a creative practice built around an original genre she calls Gentle Sci-Fi. Gentle Sci-Fi is science fiction without harshness: no graphic violence, no cheap shock, no heavy darkness. Just imaginative stories built on care, curiosity, and a deep belief that wonder doesn’t need spectacle to last. Anna’s work is for readers who feel things deeply — the sensitive, the hopeful, the curious — and for anyone who has ever wished the genre felt a little more like a warm cup of tea. Her books include Cupid’s Kiss, Get Off My Lawn!, and her latest collection, Broad Shorts: Thirteen ‘Gentle’ Sci-Fi Short Stories — thirteen quiet futures, each complete in itself.
