Ann Jacobus earned an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and a BA from Dartmouth College. She took tap dancing lessons at age six and sang off-key in musicals as a teen. She's a proud mom and grandma who enjoys swimming and sailing when she's not reading, writing, or teaching. A former crisis-line counselor at San Francisco Suicide Prevention and a mental health advocate, she speaks about mental health and writing to all ages and knows the world runs on stories.
