Anita Waggoner is an award-winning novelist, screenwriter, and producer whose stories are rooted in the authentic traditions of the American West. A former ranch owner and rodeo stock contractor, she draws upon decades of firsthand experience with cowboys, bucking bulls, and ranch life to create characters and stories that resonate with honesty, grit, and heart. She is the creator of FREEDOM, a multi-award-winning feature film screenplay, television series, and companion docudrama inspired by a true story and currently in development. Her work has earned recognition from film festivals and screenplay competitions across the United States and internationally. Anita is also the author of several Western novels, including Freedom, The Gambler, The Ranch at Huckleberry Ridge, Dakota Wells, The Way of the West, and Cowgirl Logic.
