Growing up, Andrew’s mom was constantly being told by his teachers, “he is a wonderful kid, but his mind is always somewhere else” and “he is so well behaved, but he spends his class time staring out the window”. This could likely be attributed to a childhood spent moving from town-to-town year after year. This instability was the product of a mother struggling to raise three children almost completely on her own. His father, a good man in his own right, was an unlicensed contractor often struggling to pay his own bills. Growing up this way allowed Andrew to witness a variety of personalities and lifestyles. Moving from the suburbs to the urban cities, to small mountain towns gave him a broad range of understanding of human compatriots. Because of his constantly mobile upbringing he spent his life living on the outskirts of the social scene of each new town. He grew up feeling that the only constants he had were his brother, sister, and mother. This lifestyle engrained in him the eye of a human observant. By the time Andrew reached young adulthood, he had a well-rounded perspective of how people worked within their own social structures. There is a lot to his story that needs not be discussed here. But his experience as a father, a husband, and a family man opened his eyes to an even deeper perspective into the nature of people in their social structures. After spending several years in academic studies on culture and human history, he has taken it upon himself to assume the role of human advocate. His first book, ADHD Parenting, is written to help parents of neurodivergent families. His current book, Dementia Caregivers, is being written to help those who are affected by this human disease. His writing style includes facts, information, and resources given from the perspective of a caring, compassionate, and empathetic individual. Please return periodically to check on the new additions to his writing library.
