Amy Batchelor is a managing director of the Anchor Point Foundation, which makes grants to non-profit organizations in the arts, education, entrepreneurship, conservation and the environment, health and human services, women's and human rights, international development, capacity building, and progressive public policy. She is a co-founder and partner of Social Venture Partners Boulder County (http://www.svpbouldercounty.org/) SVP Boulder County strengthens non-profits through investments of cash grants and pro bono consulting and emphasizes building the capacity and sustainability of organizations. She is working on two novels, The North Side of Trees; and Epicenter, about the 1964 Anchorage, Alaska earthquake. Amy currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Wellesley College (since 2009). The Anchor Point Internships in Global Leadership at Wellesley College provide funds for four students to do 10-week internships in Africa each summer. A collector of contemporary art, she has been a trustee of the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art since 2000, and also serves on the Visual Arts Curatorial Committee at the Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder. Amy served as a trustee of the Community Foundation serving Boulder County from 2000-2005. Amy is also a member of the Dean's Leadership Council at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Amy graduated from Wellesley College in 1988 with a B.A. in Political Philosophy. Amy lives in Boulder, Colorado, and has homes in Keystone, Colorado and Homer, Alaska, where she was born. Amy travels extensively and has spent time on every continent except Antarctica. Amy is married to Brad Feld (www.feld.com), a venture capitalist and managing director at Foundry Group, and author (amazon.com/author/bradfeld).
