As I'm writing this, exploding rockets are shaking my hometown. This is a harsh reminder of the relevance of the underlying narrative behind Darkness. But don't worry it’s very subtle, the heart of this novel is pure epic fun.

I’m 48, a father of two. Being born here in this troubled side of the world, between conflicted nations of opposing ideologies, between generations and clashing mentalities, and as a speaker of multiple languages, gives me a special insight into the great duel between perception and reality.

**Growing up immersed in 80s pop culture, from iconic music to unforgettable movies, ignited my lifelong passion for fiction. My journey began with The Princess Bride, the first movie I ever saw in a theater, about two years later I saw Back to the Future. Back then, trips to the movies were rare treats.
This childhood foundation, combined with years of work (over two decades!), culminated in Darkness Behind The Mountain. If you're a fan of epic fantasy, you'll undoubtedly fall in love with Darkness.**
