Alix Hawley is the author of All True Not a Lie In It (Knopf Canada, 2015), a first-person account of Daniel Boone's captivity by the Shawnee, and The Old Familiar (Thistledown, 2008), a story collection. Her story "Pig (for Oma)" won the 2014 CBC Bloodlines competition, judged by Lawrence Hill. She has twice been runner-up for the CBC Literary Award for Short Fiction. She lives in Kelowna, BC, with her family.
