Ali Mignonne was born in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in a whirlwind shaped by teenage parents, four younger siblings, and a childhood that felt like a coming-of-age movie—secret treehouse meetings, creekside campfires, and exploring the woods until dark. Life also brought hardship: family struggles, loss, religious upheaval, and a stroke at twenty. Through it all, Ali clung to imagination as a lifeline, using creativity to make sense of chaos and build her own sense of wonder. Today, Ali is a professional artist known for textured, sculptural paintings—often featuring trees set within bold, dreamlike landscapes—and a writer weaving mystery, history, sci-fi, and romance. Nature is central to all her work, not just as scenery, but as story. Now living in Reno, Nevada, Ali draws endless inspiration from the mountains. When she’s not painting or writing, she’s usually hiking a trail or two-stepping at a honky-tonk—her favorite ways to recharge.
