Alexandra (Alex) MacKenzie lives in Seattle, WA where she paints, gardens, birdwatches, and is owned by dachshunds. She works at the University of Washington, from which she earned a Certificate in Scientific Illustration. She also holds a B.A. in Art History from Western Washington University. She is also a graduate of the Clarion West Writing Workshop. Her watercolor illustrations can be found in the book "In My Nature: A Birder's Year at the Montlake Fill" by Constance Sidles (www.constancypress.com).
