Alex M. Stein grew up in a college town and spent entirely too much of his formative years in used record stores. This, in his mind, explains a lot. Alex loves dogs, mushing, and sled-dog races, although a freak accident put six miles into an easy eight-mile run put an end to his own mushing career. For now. A former development executive for film and television, Alex writes screenplays, directs documentaries, listens to vinyl records, and pretends he lives in Alaska instead of Los Angeles. He can frequently be found at various venues telling stories and reading essays like the 36 pieces that make up NO, MR.
