Alex Fleming is originally from Phoenix, AZ. He finished his undergraduate work in Physics and Russian at the University of Pennsylvania, and then was commissioned in the US Navy. He completed the Navy Nuclear Power Training Program in 2002, and then spent 4 years as a nuclear submarine officer on the USS San Francisco (SSN 711). He finished his service as a Lieutenant in 2006, and then completed an MBA at the Wharton School and a MA in International Relations and International Economics at Johns Hopkins University. He works as a management consultant and lives with his wife in Denver, CO. During his tenure at Wharton, Alex worked as a paid student member of the Admissions Committee, Chair of the Volunteer Admissions Committee, Board Member for the Admissions Fellow Selection Board, and Strategic Consultant to the Admissions Office after graduation.
