Backed by a background in public health (holding an MPH from the University of Washington), Alejandro’s fiction deftly dissects the intersections of race, class, and community. He is a Jerome Fellow, an editor-at-large of Apogee Journal, and his shorter work has appeared in Harper’s, The Washington Post, and The Point. He lives in New York.
