Aleisha Brooks writes stories that refuse to be forgotten. From the moment she penned her first poem at seven years old, Aleisha knew words would be her weapon of choice—against boredom, injustice, and the ordinary. What started with childhood favorites like The Wizard Children of Finn and The Witch of Blackbird Pond exploded into a full-blown obsession with Stephen King's horror, HP Lovecraft's cosmic dread, Robert Heinlein's mind-bending sci-fi, and William Somerset Maugham's timeless classics. But reading wasn't enough. Aleisha wanted to create worlds others couldn't look away from. At fifteen, she traded her American hometown for the Black Forest of Germany, living as an exchange student and soaking up languages, cultures, and perspectives that would later bleed into every character she created. She returned to Germany after high school, diving deeper into a world that taught her one crucial lesson: stories have power, and artists have responsibility. Today, Aleisha is an author and screenwriter whose work spans adventure novels, YA fiction, romance, screenplays, short films, sketch comedy, and even music videos. She's written feature-length screenplays ranging from animated family films to pulse-pounding thrillers, created a 42-episode sketch comedy series, and published novels including Isabella's Letters, Me and Marney: Growing Up Sisters, and the Reunion series. Whether she's crafting a midwife sit-com pilot based on real-life chaos, directing PSAs for international orphan relief, or writing about fairy extinction and poached bushbabies, Aleisha brings the same fierce energy: make them feel something.
