Alan Singleton is a man with a diverse professional background. He spent 25 years serving as a Marine Corps officer and founded Blu Door Consulting to help leaders take radical accountability in critical situations. Additionally, he created the Blu Door Scholars program to train and support young male leaders in the DMV area. Alan is also an active member of the financial service industry, serving as an advisor and council member for a prominent digital assets firm in the United States. As a commercial real estate owner, developer, and investor, Alan has multifamily property experience in Baltimore, Maryland. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management and Organizational Development from Mount Olive University, a Master of Military Studies degree in Military Operational Art and Science from the Command & Staff College at Marine Corps University, and is currently completing his Doctor of Public Administration degree. He has received numerous awards and commendations for his meritorious and professional achievement in both garrison and in combat zones during his time serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He has also been recognized for his volunteer work focused on youth health and fitness, receiving the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. Alan's previous experience includes his time as the Leadership Education Department Chair at Milford Mill Academy, a magnet high school in Baltimore, MD, where he successfully revitalized the JROTC program, earning a Transformation Leadership Award. Alan is a devoted family man. He takes great pride in his role as a husband and father.
