I was raised in a small town in Oklahoma, youngest of four. I learned very young how to find adventure in my life. Twenty years later, I found out that books could have adventures as well. I started reading and writing about the adventures I wanted to have. I found myself watching my own kids, and hoping that one day I could create characters that they could learn valuable lessons from. Maybe that they could see themselves in the characters I create, like I had when I learned that not every main character was skinny, or healthy. That sometimes the characters went through traumatic things in their life. I'm excited to share my vision with people, and the reason behind me wanting to show the world my stories. My goal is to show young readers, that although life may sometimes be hard, behind the pages of books can be a safe haven for all.
