I am a British author living in northern Spain with my three-legged Tibetan Spaniel, Lena. I spent twenty-five years running a pub and restaurant in Wiltshire, UK, and before that worked in international shipping and logistics — two worlds that between them have given me more stories than I know what to do with.

My published books are Lena's Journey East , the true story of Lena's remarkable journey from the streets of southern Spain, told entirely in her own voice; and The Restoration , a contemporary London romance about an art restorer, a stranger's voice on a phone, and a painting that isn't quite what it seems — now also available as an audiobook narrated by C. C. Kinie.

My psychological thriller The Wrong Knot has been picked up by Willows and Woods, with more news to follow. I am also preparing The Honourable Member for the Duck Pond , a British political comedy, for publication later this year, and I am in final edits on The Bronze Egg , the first book in a new domestic thriller series.

Other work in progress includes The Mornington Cypher , the first novel in a Le Carré-influenced thriller trilogy set in the hidden infrastructure of modern London, and Kiss the Serpent or the Gold , a mythic romantic fantasy currently with beta readers.

I believe a good book should feel like it was written by someone who had no choice but to write it. That is what I aim for.
