Born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL, AJ Sam is a U.S. Air Force veteran, an ordained Minister, and retired public-school teacher in Florida. AJ Sam created his own publishing company, Mincey Publishing LLC, in 2022. He self-published his inaugural Historical Fiction novel, A Journey Far: Ibere, in 2023. In 2025, he self-published his first Spiritual journal, Recognizing God’s Directions in Your Life, with a focus on Jeremiah 29:11. His latest novel, Ọkunrin (A Man), the sequel to his inaugural novel, is scheduled for publication in June 2025. As an author of Historical fiction, AJ Sam believes the history must be factual AND the fiction must be realistic. His writing attests to this fact, with his attention to the details of historical events, facts, and characters that’s woven throughout his fictional narrative. AJ Sam also believes in the necessity of studying the past, but not repeating the past, but learning from the past to ensure a brighter future for humanity.
