Vanessa Chambers gives a reading by turns steamy, suspenseful, and oh-so sexy. Tight plotting and believable characters mesh in a story of love and danger, as a woman finds herself hunted by a predator who, despite being part beast, fulfills her very human desires. He will also devote himself fully to her protection even as enemies of them both threaten.

Tammy Shasta’s life is changed forever when she goes to her job to work at serving food at a function on New Reservation where she is given a faulty map and walks into Valiants yard. He scares the hell out of her making everyone think he is going to kill her and then he gets a whiff of scent and all hell breaks loose. Tammy finds herself flat on her back on his bed and Valiant is determined to breed her and keep her forever. A couple of kidnappings and some smoking hot sex later and things have definitely changed. This book is full of action, bigoted humans, new species and some scorching hot sexual interactions and I highly recommend it and the series as a whole.
