Okay, I’m absolutely in love with this authors work, and this is the second book of hers that I’ve devoured however, Carter, the MMC for Macie ABSOLUTLEY triggers me. This comes from a place of love Lorelei, but that character is NOT redeemable! I’ve actually lived this scenario, obviously not in the same setting, but an epic man-child, stubborn, pig headed and who takes a bender to cool down before he sees reason, does not a good partner make. EVER! It doesn’t matter how good the orgasms are, it will never make up for having to live with a cantankerous, spoiled brat who goes off half cocked every time something doesn’t go his way. Poor, poor Macie … you’ve doomed her, and their kids to a life of walking on egg shells. So sad. I’m still giving the story a 4, but it would have been a 5 if Carter wasn’t such a twat.
PS – I love, love, loved the entire Cash and Gemma story.
