Publisher's Summary

Take the ride of your life with the Torpedo Ink motorcycle club in this thrilling romance novel from number-one New York Times best-selling author Christine Feehan.

Torpedo Ink is Aleksei “Absinthe” Solokov’s whole life. They’re his brothers, his family - his everything. But that doesn't stop him from wanting something that only belongs to him. That’s why the tough biker has spent the last six weeks at the library, reading every book he can get his hands on and watching the prim and proper librarian who makes his blood rush.

For the past six weeks, Scarlet Foley has been fantasizing about the handsome, tattooed man whose eyes follow her every move. She senses he's dangerous. She wants him to get close enough to touch. She wishes she could let him know the real woman, not the one she pretends to be. But Scarlet has a plan to carry out, and she can’t afford any distractions.

Absinthe is well aware that Scarlet is hiding something. She’s a puzzle he intends to solve, piece by intoxicating piece....

Cringeworthy

I've enjoyed the Torpedo Inc series, stories and characters and look forward to them all finding themselves and their mates. I have not enjoyed the addition of the increasing number and repetitive nature of the sex scenes. I don't mind a good sex scene within a story when it is a natural progression and part of the character and story development, but it seems that they are used as filler to pad out the story and they only detract from the narrative. Jim Frangione gives a great performance and is easy to listen to.

Brilliant

The fourth book in the Torpedo Ink series is about Aleksei 'Absinthe' Solokov and Scarlet Foley. Absinthe meets Scarlet when he walks into the library where she works and she fascinates him and his body is reacting of it's own accord something that doesn't usually happen to members of Torpedo Ink. Meanwhile Scarlet has been fantasizing about the handsome, tattooed man whose eyes follow her every move. Can they reveal the real selves to each other and learn to trust again? Only time will tell and it is one fascinating ride as both of them have secrets to hide, which could reveal more similarities between the two and not just hot chemistry either. I highly recommend this audio book and the series as a whole. I love Christine Feehan's imagination and I would love to live in the worlds she creates, sure they are full of danger but, also love and dedication and escaping into them has saved me many times.

Another one falls

Absinthe has helped to hold the Torpedo Ink family together but lately it has been getting harder so for some quiet time he heads to the library.
Scarlet is the librarian that Absinthe sees at the library and is immediately calmed by her even though he knows she has secrets and is carrying weapons.
With a contract on her head and Torpedo ink as her backup there is plenty of action and adventure as well as the TI form of relationships. This is a fantastic book.
