Absolutely Loved this steamy well written romance! Good story, excellent characters and lovely written steamy love scenes.
This is my first book by Jess Michaels and I will follow her more through her books.
Wished there was an epilogue though
excellent narration by Carmen Rose as usual

This was a very in-depth look at life in the past selfish, male dominated upper class society. it's confusing that the law allowed snobbish uppercrust men to control and abuse women and yet not be allowed to watch fist fights! But this was an awakening of two hurt and lost souls who finally found peace and love in each other. A great story Excellently Narrated. Most Enjoyable! I find women narrators put passion and feeling into their narration, whilst most men only read a story. Well done.

I've just finished listening to this very sensual series which had me hooked from the start with Lyssandra's story. Jess Michael's paints a realistic picture of the vulnerabilities of women born into a life of servitude or those who've suffered a change in circumstance necessitating desperate and undesirable decisions to survive.
Lyssandra and Vivienne both made me view mistresses and courtesans in a different light and I surprised myself by just how much I enjoyed these erotic tales.

Wow, I feel silly saying this considering the storyline but I was surprised by how much sex there was in this book! Perhaps even too much? This was well written and I enjoyed the book very much.
I was also very impressed with the narrator. This is the first female narrator I have enjoyed- ever, so my congratulations to her for her performance.

So I thought I would start a new romance story before bed. I was only going to listen to it for a hour or two, then continue it the following day. Well.... it's now 3.40am and I am going to be a mess at work. Damn book was TOO good and I couldn't put it down no matter how hard I tried! Well done to both the author and narrator, a excellent story that I highly recommend. Saucy scenes, heartbreak, love, and a happy ever after. 5 Stars!

if a half baked tale that's wraps up predicably with a great emphasis on errotic moments is what you are looking for, then this book is for you. can't say I am keen to find more by this author
