Publisher's Summary
Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of The Book of Souls by James Oswald, read by the actor Ian Hanmore.
Every year for 10 years, a young woman's body was found in Edinburgh at Christmastime: naked, throat slit, body washed clean. The final victim, Kirsty Summers, was Detective Constable Tony McLean's fiancée. But the Christmas Killer made a mistake and McLean put an end to the brutal killing spree.
Twelve years later, and a fellow prisoner has murdered the Christmas Killer. But with the festive season comes a body; naked, washed, her throat cut. Is this a copycat killer? Was the wrong man behind bars all this time? Or is there a more sinister explanation? McLean must revisit his most disturbing case and discover what he missed before the killer strikes again....

Fabulous Second Book with a Supernatural Element !
Any additional comments?
I just love James Oswald's writing style and the rich and realistic characters he's created. Ian Hanmore's narration is simply superb. His ability to change his voice to suit each character is amazing which makes the enjoyment of the story so much greater. What a great writer / narration team. Thank you both for hours of enjoyment.

Very good.
Thoroughly enjoyable but perhaps the ending is a little too contrived and trite.
The narrator is a marvel and overalll the narrative is engrossing but too many loose ends and unlikely outcomes at the end. I realise characters are to remain to continue the dramatic interplay but a GOT ending with main protagonists snuffing it would be better, Dagwood for starters.

A New Favourite
Thoroughly enjoyed the story. Good plot with
a hint of supernatural mystery. Believable characters. Very impressed with the narrator. What a pleasure to listen to a book read SO well! Will definitely look out for books read by this narrator again. I fully intend to listen to all of the series now.
