A radical new path to revolutionise your relationships

Why are our closest relationships so often a source of more stress than solace? Whether the relationship is with a romantic partner, a parent, child, friend or colleague, the dynamic is frequently the same - you'd like the relationship to change for the better, yet nothing you try seems to work.

Author of international bestseller How to Do the Work, Dr Nicole LePera has heard these frustrating patterns of loneliness, disconnection, and resentment described time and again, both from patients in her clinical practice and from her global online community @the.holistic.psychologist. In this groundbreaking book she offers a new path to healing our relationships by tapping into the power of the heart.

How to Be the Love You Seek harnesses the latest scientific research to teach us how to recognise our dysfunctional patterns, identify their roots in our earliest relationships, break painful cycles, build security and share compassion with ourselves and others.

Through stories, exercises, journal prompts, and other practical tools, Dr LePera empowers us first to strengthen our foundation of self-love, paving the way for deeper, more harmonious connections with those around us.

When you become the love you seek, you have the power to transform every relationship, from your most intimate partnerships to the bonds that hold our communities together.

Good, but strangely individualistic

Like her other books, the author places self responsibility at the centre of healing, and has her own original combination of ideas from psychology and alternative healing to help you get there, especially nervous system regulation and living in the heart. But it didn’t feel as empowering as her other books, and I was surprised that there is almost nothing about relating, or relationship dynamics. It seemed very individualistic for a book about love. But I still liked it, and I’ll listen again in the future

UNENGAGED VOICE that makes you loose focus n main point

sound like there isn't stop to understand main point, the chapter aren't divided by topic, so everytime I listen I fall asleep n not sure even of the topic.. Appreciate Nicole work bleeding different psychology, maybe adding astrology or something that being more transformation in the book

Not what I expected

First off, this book is focused on romantic relationships. From the title I thought it would be about loving ourselves but this book involves a lot of co-regulation with a partner.
The first few chapters were a good intro if you’ve never done therapy. But then we get into more of her personal beliefs, and her own story, and I can’t resonate with either. She’s twisting research and using studies that are known to be questionable. I then decided to look into her a bit and she’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing. She’ll be cancelled before long but she’s making millions while she can.
