It was complicated, it was also just the beginning. A decision. A simple choice. There is always that one moment in life where things could have been different. That one moment where you could have chosen a path that would lead you down a certain road. A different life. It was easier to pretend that we were still best friends, and that she was my girl and I was her boy. Pretending was better than knowing the truth. I. Ruined. Us. I had her. I lost her. I love her. All I did was complicate us.

I didn't think these kids would ever grow up! This book was torturous. Not sure if I can handle another story if it goes as slow as this one.
"WOW Way to long and Slow"
WOW this is just way to slow. Did they really have to go through every year of there lives from the time they were 10 years old. I had to fast forward through this book quite a bit. I tied to like it but it was just a bit to much.It just went on and on. It's like no way do youlove someone like that and keep moving on. The two kids seemed to never grow up and the parents didn't help much. Not something I would listen to again.
Problem is I bought the other two books since they were only $1.99 each. So I guess I will listen to them and see if I can get through them. I did like the narration of the book. And if you can make it to the end I think you can guess what happens. Less is more!
The story was beautiful and was beautifully read. It's a must read, listen and love!
"Death by slow burn...and I loved it!"
Me and the slow burn have a complicated relationship. I love to hate them, and I hate to love them. There is no shortcut to being together for Alex and Lucas. There isn't a clearly defined path. There isn't even a hint of a path. This journey to love is like a slow trek through the jungle, slashing your way through with a machete. This is one of those books where I wished I could step inside the story and smack the ever loving crap out of both the hero and the heroine. And some of the secondary characters too. I was warming up the back of my hand for plenty of fictional characters. This story felt like I was like being slowly ripped into two pieces. I'm surprised that when Alex and Lucas did finally find their way together that my Kindle didn't spontaneously combust with the long overdue climax. Yes, that pun WAS intended. Oh, and guess what? M. Robinson is setting you up for MORE. And I bet, just like me, despite the fact that you wanted to scream and cry and throw your Kindle while reading this book, you just can't help yourself but keep on reading about the Good 'Ol Boys. Does that make me insane?

"Amazing, emotional, heartbreaking read! Worth it!"
Amazing Heartbreaking. Emotional.
I loved Alex (Lauren Sweet). She was headstrong and determined. Lauren did an amazing job bringing her to life.
Love is never easy.
A great read/audio. It was so worth every minute of it!
I am so glad that they got it together. That was some mess. And the death of his mom. So heart breaking.
