Publisher's Summary

Duet narration by Sebastian York and Lucy Rivers.

She’s his fiancée’s younger sister. He’s the man she’s always loved.

When her sister doesn’t show up on her wedding day, Raven has no choice but to take her place, but marriage to Ares Windsor is nothing short of torture.

The elusive billionaire media mogul is the man she’s always loved…yet he’s only ever had eyes for her sister.

Married to him at last, Raven is determined to win him over.

After all, everything is fair in love and war.

And this?

This is war.

Publisher's Note: this audiobook contains a lot of angst. As mentioned in the blurb, the heroine is marrying her sister's fiancé. If this is not a theme you'd enjoy, then this audiobook might not be for you. This is a standalone with a guaranteed happily-ever-after, and no cheating.

THE BEST EVER. 🔥💔💔🔥🔥❤️❤️

Don’t have enough words to express how much I love this book I have listened to hundreds if not in the thousand and this is the best ever. I didn’t think he was going to go to redeem himself but he really did.

Best story line

I couldn't stop listening to this book. It's been a while since I've come across a book that I didn't want to end. It's such a wonderful storyline and of course the performance was impeccable. This is a new author for me, so I can't wait to try more books from her!

Binged listened to this one

The title peeked my curiosity and although I was a little hesitant not knowing anything about writer Catharina Maura and her books, it was narrator extraordinaire Sebastian York that really drew me all the way in,

There was plenty of angst made possible by sister/villain Hannah taking centre stage (a true piece of evil, toxic and manipulating work). Don't even get me started on mummy dearest! Ares described those two perfectly by stating they were "made from the same cloth". Poor Raven.

Although the storyline was a little repetitive in my opinion, I could see where the writer was coming from in regards to Raven and her insecurities. Ares putting up with Hannah's antics and indiscretions, yet he still wanted to marry her was very frustrating. Throughout, he's true feelings for Raven were evident and couldn't be denied. The last few chapters were gripping and the reason why my headphones were glued onto my head until the early hours of the morning. Sleep...who needs it, right?

At this point I have to say when Sebastian York is paired up with other female narrators other than my personal favourite, I tend to skip through the chapters. Lucy Rivers however, did a good job with her characters and I enjoyed listening to her voice overall.

I enjoyed this story and it was worth spending a credit. but seriously, "Want more of Raven and Ares? Download a deleted chapter featuring their second wedding ceremony on my website." What? Where? How? Anybody?

AMAZINGGGGG 🥵❤️‍🔥

Catharina Maura strikes again! I feel for Raven and learning more about her story from Bittersweet Memories, you just want her to have the world. And boy did I want her to make Ares work for it but at the end he fell first and HARD. Their relationship was magical. Plus the sister can get f’d for keeping them apart.

The narration was perfection! I’m so happy it was a duet narration as it truly brings the story together.

Okay-ish

The weird family arrangements and the fact that the MMC is spineless made me not love the book. And it is extremely repetitive.

Moment of truth... love it

This is the first book in the Catharina Maura series called The Windsors. It it Ares and Raven's story.

The way this story weaves through everything is so heartfelt. There were times when the pain was almost too much, but the love...oh, that was sublime.

I can't wait to read about the next Windsor family member.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible. The voice actors did an amazing job of bringing the angst, pain, and love to life.

Ares + Raven

Wow... so many mixed emotions with this read/audible. Can u love n hate a book at the same time. ok, mayb hate the first few chapters, but once the marriage took place, n Ares finally admit to his true feelings 4 Raven, u c the love his has 4his wife. So different 2his relationship 2his ex, Hannah (b!+@#) Ares went far n beyond 4his wife. Also, think the steamy sessions between Mr & Mrs Windsor r 🌶🌶🌶 🔥🔥🔥 AF. U can hate n love Ares Windsor, but he is loyal 2 his wife, family, and true 2his morals. So overall, I enjoyed this read. I just wish a little more into their future, perhaps a bonus or two of epilogue...

"A moment of truth..." I love those moments between Ares n Raven... so many couples need the communication that is lost in relationships. Honestly, Raven must have had a strong mind because the situation she is put in that is a completely mind f@ck 2 anyone.
