Rebellious, green-eyed Eleanor never met a rule she didn't want to break. Sick of her mother's zealotry and the confines of Catholic school, she declares that she'll never go to church again. But her first glimpse of beautiful, magnetic Father Marcus Stearns - Søren to her and only her - and his lust-worthy Italian motorcycle is an epiphany. Eleanor is consumed, yet even she knows that being in love with a priest can't be right. But when one desperate mistake nearly costs Eleanor everything, it is Søren who steps in to save her. When she vows to repay him with complete obedience, a whole world opens before her as he reveals to her his deepest secrets. Danger can be managed - pain, welcomed. Everything is about to begin. Contains mature themes.

"Finally a Performance worthy of the material!"
I loved the beginning of Soren and Nora's story. I love this series and can't wait for the next book in The White Years to come out in December.
The narration was wonderful.
When Soren comes to talk to Nora in jail.
Tiffany Reisz always makes me laugh and cry. She is one of my favorite authors.
"Ms Reisz keeps getting better"
Elizabeth Hart is a great narrator. This audio version is sooo much better than reading, because I feel like I am in the room while Nora tells her story. It is so much more enjoyable to hear the accents and voice inflections than imagining it from words on a page. Also I can listen while driving, walking or doing repetitive work around the house. A good audio book makes mundane tasks so much more interesting and tolerable. Besides, no one knows what a great BDSM scene I just listened to while picking up veggies in the frozen food section. They probably think my sly smile is for the peas.
I love everything about this book, but I loved Nora's speech near the end and the whole way Ms Reisz structured this book between past and present. She ended this book without ending the story brilliantly. Ms Reisz is a talented writer and is getting better with each book. I should be sick of these characters by the 5th book or the plot should be waning or the conflict contrived. But Nora and company just get more interesting, the plot more engrossing and the conflict so intoxicating that I can't wait to read/hear/know more. I must say it again - BRILLIANT.
Yes. Especially the at the end.
I want to hear more of it all.
Niko and all this Sorren.
Also, I don't think this is a spoiler as it was such a small bit, but the part where Elle meets Lockland. "Everyone calls me Locky. Everyone but you. You call me, Sir." #gulp #chills
While I love Sorren - I find myself more drawn to the type of man Niko is. Which is more about personality and lifestyle than his situationally submissive role, here.
It was wonderful. Affable.
THE SAINT shows you the fiery edge where desire, pain, and love dance and has you begging to edge.
"The education of Nora!"
If you love Nora as much as I do, you will love her more after listening to The Saint. It is her beginning...you will laugh and cry and hold your breath at times. This is Nora and Soren from the start and it is so good!
"The Thorn Birds meets Fifty Shades....hot!"
Fifty Shades meets The Thorne Birds in my opinion at least, this is a really smoldering good story, even if it is dirty. If you like a darkly brooding, domineering priest, a feisty yet troubled heroine with aspirations to be kinky, sexy, and in control you’re going to want to check this series. This is deeply sensual, erotic, troubling, and sexy. This story packs an emotional punch that I really hadn’t expected nor expected to be turned on by! I love the entire series, but I started with the wrong book series first. The Original Sinners: The Red Years Quartet, with the book The Siren which is after this book series but it seem to help me put these books into a better sequence. Loved it!
"Even the beautiful narration couldn't carry this"
This "story" is a systematic introduction of a young girl into a BDSM relationship(s). There is not much intrigue to the story; just scenes set up to provide increasingly intense loss of innocence. it is all consensual so I guess that makes it easier for us to peak into that world. The problem is, it just wasn't engaging. Not enough story for me to take it out of the porn category. Sorry, the writer has a nice turn of phrase but needs to return to some good outlining before getting started next time. Building to a climax and all that.
The author did not successfully execute her attempt to bring a priest in as a main BDSM character. There was a thread throughout the writing that sought to bring a kind of spirituality (through the character's connections to the Catholic church) to the sadistic lifestyle introduced, but I kept finding myself thinking, "I'm not buying it". I enjoyed 50 Shades so this opinion is not intolerance - it just didn't work here.
Ms Hart performed beautifully. She has a delicate feminine female voice but also has a range of convincing male voices too.
I am going to return this one.
"I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!"
6 stars for me! I LOVED this book! This series gave me mixed emotions in the beginning just because of the religious factor but that lasted all of 2 chapters! This is such an original story and not once did I think I knew what was going to happen next. Book 5 has given me a book hangover, I have no desire to start anything new now, I just want to forget I just read it and start it all over again! I loved hearing the beginning of the story and I think listening to it after made it so much better than it would have been had this book been first. I hope Nora, Soren, Kingsley and the rest of these characters have a lot more stories to tell! I can't wait for the next book! I will ready anything by this author and am pushing this series on all my friends ;)
this was such a good story. I did not want to stop listening to it. I can't wait for the next installment!
"Awesome Story, Amazing Narrator"
I can't enough of this series!!!
Narrator is amazing!
Tiffany Reisz is brilliant!
Highly recommend this book and series! 5+Stars!!
"Great series disappointing book 5"
I love this series but was very disappointed in this book. It was nothing more than consolidation of Nora’s life in to one book.
narrator bit annoying at first but got used to her actually found voice quite relaxing. good story line kept you hooked. my first audible book looking forward to my next
I read very one of her books and this one was as amazing to well DONE
"A listening event"
The Saint is a wonderfully written, thought provoking and moving story. Having already read this book I lost nothing in listening to it. In fact, I thought soren's tale couldn't get any better. Well, I was wrong! It's even better when you loose yourself is the telling of it.
The story of this little triad is without a doubt what grabs a hold of you from the beginning. As you move through the different books, you think it's one thing, but you turn a page and become somethings else.
Her execution of the accents. It's really adds layers, history, and background to each character without saying another word.
Absolutely, I challenge anybody to listen or read this series and not have a reaction. And it's not always the most comfortable emotion.
A very well done all. And thank you for putting this out into the world.
