I love two men. I screw two men. I am in a relationship with them both, and they are both aware there is another. That is all they need to know, that is all I let them know. They don't need to know a name; they don't need to know anything, but that they are not alone in my heart.
They have accepted the situation. Stewart, because his life is too busy for the sort of obligations that are required in a relationship. Paul, because he loves me too much to tell me no. And because my sexual appetite is such that one man has trouble keeping up.
So we exist, two parallel relationships, each running their own course, with no need for intersection or conflict. It works for us, for them, and for me. I don't expect it to be a long-term situation. I know there is an expiration date on the easy perfection of our lives. I should have paid more attention, should have looked around and noticed the woman who watched it all. She sat in the background and waited, tried to figure me out. Saw my two relationships, the love between us, and the moment that it all fell apart.
She hates me. I don't even know she exists.
She loves them. I love them.
And they love me.
Everything else hangs in the balance.

Alessandra Torre is wonderful at giving us imperfect scenarios reminding us that to be human is to be flawed. Maddison is gorgeous and sexy and easy going, but it's her understated insecurities that make her so relatable. Of course the two men in her life are HAWWWWT, but so different from one another that we don't really see the twist coming until it's upon us.
I did have one problem with this audiobook (which I admittedly listened to in one "sitting" while performing tasks of varying complexity throughout the day!)... I found there wasn't a big enough distinction when Dana started speaking, which made me go back to the ebook and sort out where the second female POV fit in. If I'd been concentrating better I'm sure this wouldn't have been an issue!! Even with my momentary confusion this is still a 5 star listen.
I really enjoyed this book and the twists along the way. I was doing this one Whispersync so have to admit that it was easier to read than to listen to. The narrator was ok, but she used the same voice for all the characters so I was confused if I missed the beginning of a short chapter that was the story of a different character. This book would be improved by using multiple narrators, which I don't always like. I like the way the author creates something different, a bit twisted, and lets us make discoveries along the way. I felt that way with her other books that I have read or listened to: Black Lies, and The Girl in 6E. Lots of slutty sex so I would advise those who don't like that kind of stuff to stay away from this book. I thought it was good and enjoyed it very much.
Worst book I've ever had to listen too. I don't think I liked one character. How has this book EVER been given more than a star!!
"Love this author but not this particular book"
Unfortunately, I found this particular story to be a less than enjoyable piece of erotica. It's not because it's lacking the erotica component. That's all there is and this is an example of why I only read this genre from a select few authors. I need complicated characters and an engaging storyline to follow. This one tried but the sex was like every five minutes and I personally found most of the characters to be frustratingly unlikable, combine that with a big reveal at the end that caused me to be a little sad and a lot grossed out and I was over it.
More Alessandra Torre! Despite my lack of enjoyment with this particular book, I will continue to scream Alessandra Torre's name from the mountain tops. She's freakin' amazing and everyone should know it!
My favorite quote:
“You don’t understand the true awesomeness of nature until you watch the sun rise on water that stretches across half the world. Or until you lay back on the board in the pitch black of night and listen to the world sleep. Until you feel the tug of water and know that you are dancing with a partner that could dip you into death should it feel the need. It is intoxicating, the heartbeat of the ocean.”
My dislike wasn't focused on any particular character. It was a combination of factors.
I had already read the book a couple of times and loved the story. I got the audio to fill time thinking it would be good background but found myself giving it my full attention anyway. The narration compliments the book very well.
Madison is so independent and adorable. Stuart is so driven yet tender. Paul is just so yummy. The writing flows well, the characters are well developed, the eroticism is captivating and the twists are well placed and unpredictable.
A very entertaining read and/or listen.
"Really Well done Story of Woman with Two Men"
Very likeable, straightforward protagonist, who just happens to be romantically involved with two guys (there's a twist, but won't spoil it).
Moves along well, juicy story and exciting climax.
Very well narrated.
"Sex Love Repeat"
Love this and hated it had to end. Well written and pleasure as always reading Alessandra books.
there were several surprises and the ending wasn't what I expected but definitely worth your time. You can't but like these characters, they are flawed but real.
"Great Newbie Author for me"
this was a great newbie for me. i was a bit confused in the beginning because the story switched back and forth from the present to the future and from different characters point of view. once i got used to that it was really good.
i loved the sex scenes and the contrasts between the two male leads. one was focused on his job and had money to spoil Madison and the other was more attentive to her needs and had more time to spend with her. it was hard for her to choose who she'd like to be with in the end. i knew who she should pick and was very surprised in the end who she ended up with. it was refreshing.
i'll definitely be reading/listening to another book by Ms. Torre.
"I Think I've Discovered My Favorite New Author!"
Sexy, Sad and Shocking!
I knew going into this book that there was some sort of a love-triangle involved. I was a little disappointed to tell the truth, when I realized that there was in fact, going to be no M-F-M action in this book - I was convinced that this was going to be the big shocker (finale) at the end! I was so disgruntled by this fact that I did not see the real shocker coming in the epilogue - it totally turned this into a 5-star read for me!
Hollie Jackson did an excellent job of narrating all characters! I actually looked for, and purchased more of her work after listening to this book.
**Spoilerish** I was shocked when one of the men simply walked away. It was so out of character for this person to simply give up on what he wanted. I really felt the the sadness of this unbelievable situation and ultimately a sense of forgiveness.
About an hour into this book I realized that I was a bit confused - I did have to start again for the beginning. The book is told in alternating POVs of 4, yes 4 different characters! The 2 male leads, Paul and Stewart and the female lead, Madison. There is also a 2nd female character, Dana - watch out for her, don't get distracted like I did! lol
"another great hit"
another great hit
When Madison woke up in the hospital.
I did listen to it in one sitting.
A well written story by Alessandra Torre & she NEVER disappoints her readers! Well Done!
