When Rebecca's boyfriend talks her into vacationing at a mountain lodge with his swing club, she quickly learns she's not cut out for playing musical beds. Now she has nowhere to sleep. Logan, the lodge owner, finds her freezing on the porch. After hauling her inside, he warms her in his own bed, and there the experienced Dom discovers that Rebecca might not be a swinger... but she is definitely a submissive.
Rebecca knows that no one can love her plump, scarred body. To her shock, lodge owner Logan not only disagrees, but ties her up and shows her just how much he enjoys her curves. Under his skilled hands, Rebecca not only loses her inhibitions, but also her heart.
Damaged from the war, Logan considers himself too dangerous to be around the enticing little sub. He sends her away for her own safety, not realizing she believes she has once again been rejected because of her size. As Logan's mountains echo with her voice long after she's gone, he realizes she's taken his heart with her. But when he arrives in the city to reclaim her, Rebecca's phone has been disconnected and her apartment is empty....

"Master of the Mountain"
Yes, in as much as you can experience the book on a whole different level. The print/kindle version is good too. You just can't go wrong with a Cherise Sinclair book. (Just not possible)
All of the Shadowlands book. The men are all 100% Alpha male and know how to respect their women.
No. This is my first book with this narrator.
Yes. Any book by Cherise is worth listening to in a single sitting. Sadly, life has a habit of getting in the way sometime.
I am excited to see that yet another Cherise Sinclair book has made its way to Audible. I hope that each and every book of her becomes available on Audible. Great way to spend an afternoon.
"Fave author + Incredible narrator = FABULOUS"
Cherise Sinclair is one of my absolute favorite authors. I've read and re-read all of her books so many times I have them all memorized. Her characters feel like family and close friends. I celebrate their victories and want to give them the "big sister treatment" when they screw up. Her books can stand alone, but are even better together.
This was the first book I'd listened to with Phil Gigante narrating and he was just wonderful! Here's hoping he reads the rest of the Mountain Masters/Dark Haven series. He'd do well for the remaining Masters of the Shadowlands books as well. Noah Michael Levine is okay, but Phil Gigante is more suited to Cherise Sinclair's characters and plots.
"Very good story"
I enjoy Cherise Sinclair's stories and am so glad they are being offered as audiobooks. Phil Gigante does an excellent job of bringing out the details and I can visualize the entire scenario thus drawing me completely into the story line. I totally recommend these stories to everyone who enjoys this genre. I look forward to the next stories that will be released.
This book was enjoyable. But I was hoping for a better ending. C.S. could of gone further into the ending. of course that's my opinion and I didn't want to give anything away.
"Two halfs make a whole"
Both main characters brought pain into the relationship. I believe the audio version allowed me to feel more of he pain each of them carried. However, as they began to trust they also began to open up to each other. Sometimes the best way to reach a goal is one step at a time. Great story and really like the realistic ending.
The characters the author introduced us to.
Phil Gigante's presentaton allowed me to really get inside what the characters were feeling. I felt how scary something new and unexpected could be.
"Blazing hot, highly recommended!"
Intelligent power exchange, and very hot sex! Makes me want to find my own Logan and move to a mountain!
"Swingers vs BDSM"
It all happened very quickly (no character development, plot etc). Hot & erotic! If you don't like whips, toys, and such, this might not be for you. It was worth my credit. I was in the mood to listen to something steamy.
"Master of the Mountain"
I love Cherise Sinclair! I am making my way through all of her books right now and so far they have all been terrific. I loved Master Simon's roll in this story also. Logan and Rebecca's story was wonderful. Plenty of angst and the sex will burn your ears! Loved this story!
I love all of Cherise Sinclair's books. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the audio version but it was great. Worth having the book in both formats
"This has been my most re-visited BDSM themed book"
Not necessarily-I loved the print version. As an audio it was ok and was interesting to hear a male voice reading Logan's parts to me. That was certainly hot. Full disclosure; I know some of those passages to memory I have reread them so often that I knew exactly what was coming and the narrator did an excellent job capturing those. I would listen to this again and I would also read the print version again. It would depend on what was convenient at the time.
Logan. My first Dominant book boyfriend...not my last, but he will always be my first and be special to me for that reason and his love of a fuller figure. : )
Logan, but I am biased. : ) He did a fair feminine voice for Rebecca. He certainly had the douchebag voice down pat for Becca's boyfriend Matt. I did not think I could dislike that character more until I 'heard' him talk.
This book has been my answer to "if you were on a desert island and could only take one book with you what would it be" for a long time. I love how Rebecca discovers that she is submissive sexually. I love her introduction to it and that Logan likes her exactly as she is. I found upon listening to this instead of my usual indulgent skip to the good parts re-read that she has been brain washed by her Mom and really society that she is not good enough as is and has affected pretty much every aspect of her life. She has settled in life and love and doesn't like herself very much. I like her because she is vulnerable but she is strong enough to recognize that she needs to make changes...with or without Logan.
loved it. couldn't put it down also told a few friends about it and can't wait for the new one
"It's a good story & an easy listen :)"
The books is well written & preformed, its easy to listen to, I got it done in one sitting. It's quite enjoyable, I would recommens it to all who enjoy these type of books. :)
