he rants, he's hypocritical, he doesn't make logical arguments, he's hard to follow, he comes across as arrogant and if he tried to sell in this way to me, I'd show him the door
I chose 5 stars because this book is excellent for anyone and everyone who wishes to achieve success in life and sees it as the only option. I have that mindset and Grant had that mindset when he was 20. The difference being he has decades of experience and proof to back it up. He integrates useful concepts with interesting stories and the way he translates the information is fantastic. Grant is engaging and more interesting than professional book narrators because he has emotional experience intertwined and that comes across in the book and the overall vibe. I will be certainly listening to this book again and Grant you have a new follower. I'll see you in a few years mate, but for now I'm going to devour your 10x rule book. Highly recommended to ambitious people interested in success strategies.
No wonder why this is one of the best book / audiobook for all businesses! I listened to it once ( and will listen to it again ) already learnt a lot from this audio book. This had boost a lot of confidence for me. Love the stories and all the tips. Thanks Grant. 😀👏👍
It's an excellent book that will inspire and give you worthwhile knowledge and he does his best to not go on his normal rants. but he pushes Scientology hard and at times underhanded.
A comprehensive guide to selling, understanding all aspects of sales focusing on obtaining and maintaining the correct mindset and all that is entailed. Accompanied by personal stories and experiences, Grants aggressive attitude often leave you motivated and focused on what needs to be done.
If Psychology of Sales by Brian Tracey is a salesmans foundational read and this book is the evolution of that foundation. An absolute must read for anyone who wants to achieve anything and a no brainer for any true salesman.
"Among the Greatest Books on Sales! A Must Read!"
Most definitely, the audio book has the added advantage of a Grant Cardone performance, and what a performance it is. If he ever gets tired of sales (highly unlikely...) he could always read books for Audible.com and would probably be better than most narrators ;-))
Pitch Anything by Oren Klaff
I can only recommend this book to anyone in sales. Grant Cardone will change your thought process. I listen to the book while working out at the gym and I'm replaying various chapters in my car. Once you've listened to it, rinse and repeat.
"A Salesmen Must Read"
Yes I would, Everyday for 2 hrs/day for 90days - this book will get your mind right as a Salesmen
It changed for me what it means to be in sales, and I realized that there is not never not a time that I am not selling something, someone, or myself, am I not.
Grant Cardone is the Man, One Hundred Grand!!! meaning if you read this book and apply it to your Sales Career, there is not any reason you will not never not ever not have a six figure year.
Yes, Increased Confidence in my sales
Must Read for any Business Person
"Grant Cardone fan for the rest of my life!!"
Motivational, Eye-Opening, Hilarious.
Grant calls you out! I absolutely love it, he puts things in a relative way, the book kept me interested because he is so personable and says whats on his mind so matter how blunt it may seem.
He positive attitude, I feel like I am having a conversation with my father or grandfather.
"A must read for all who sale"
Grant Cardone reads his own book but never really stays on script giving many extra insight to his thinking in this audiobook. I would say if your in sales you want to be a closer. If you can't close you aren't selling anything. This book has everything you need to be a closer except the heart. You have to provide that yourself along with commitment, dedication, and persistence. This is a must read for anyone who ever wants to accomplish anything in life.
This book was purchased for my own education.
"The best sales training you will ever get!"
I listen everyday in my car, as well as when I am relaxing at home. I listen this audio before I go on a sale... it just keeps your training fresh.... and pumps you up!
Well, Grant Cardone also authors and narrates two other audios which are equally incredible, in my opinion.... The 10X Rule and If You're not First, You're Last!.... besides Think and Grow Rich, I think these are the only audios you need for success.
He tells it like it is!.... No B.S.... and he knows his stuff... Great motivator and.Great Salesman!
No, I periodically listen to it, over and over.... I drill it in my head
I have listened to different speakers for 25 years, and Grant Cardone is on the top of my List. He is very unique in every which way. I would not listen if he wasn't the narrator... He's that good! ... He also shows by example, which is inspiring. Check him out on youtube
"helpful, inspring and fun"
Although I'm not in sales professionally, I picked this up because I am in the job market and was hoping to find information on closing prospective employers on *me* as a new hire. :-) I found this book helpful, inspiring and fun. I am on my way to a great new job right now. Highly recommended!
"Grant Cardone is a no BS mentor for a sales career"
Grant Cardone has lots of great information that you can use to help you with your sales career.
"Over the top"
The style was way over the top. There was some good information in there but as soon as he started pushing a book from L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology I knew I had had enough. Let me sum up the book - be positive - be persistent - take action.
"Don't call about "The Book" Grant Mentions"
If he would not have pitched Dianetics and Scientology and just stuck to sales info.
The pitching of Dianetics
By trying to sell Dianetics
I would have cut the part where he mentions a book that he says is important to understanding people so you can sell, then won't tell you the title of the book so you have to call his company, and then finding out that he is trying to sell Dianetics.
I don't care what your belief system is, I will buy good products and services from anyone of any faith, but do not try to pitch your ideology as part of you product, especially in a dishonest and ambiguous way. That is incredibly unprofessional and inappropriate. I gave the book 2 stars instead of 1 because the info. is decent.
"Basic sales points, lots of fluff"
Author makes a few solid and very basic sales points, but the majority of the book is fluff. All around not incredibly helpful. This book could have been 1-2 hours long. Author wasted a lot of time stroking his ego and indirectly cursing in pig Latin...Google the main points and save your credits. Not bad but not
worth the money or time.
"Cardone is Gripping"
I haven't read the print version but love hearing Cardone's Enthusiasm come across in a way that has yet to be matched in any other audiobook in sales (AND I LISTEN TO A LOT!!)
I enjoyed his tell it how it is attitude and how he gives real life examples of thing you can apply to make you hone your skills in a way that goes way above an beyond my expectations. Cardone is the man!!
I enjoyed every piece of this audiobook equally
Yes I have listened to it 3 times now
BUY THIS AUDIOBOOK IF YOU ARE SELLING ANYTHING
"There are no answers in this book"
Nope. I was aware of Grant Cardone I think through seeing something he did on the internet and had characterised him as somewhat of a stereotypical salesperson, but when I saw the good reviews for the book I figured I'd give it a try. I listen to a lot of sales related literature and figured he might have something new to say. In truth the book contains just a rehash of a very thin selection of sales strategies - there is almost nothing for you to take away and apply. It's not good enough to repeat 'you know what, you gotta get sold on what your selling. You know what I'm sayin'? Sell or be sold man...' for three chapters. It's just trivial tripe. When Cardone does say something useful it's generally stolen straight out of the mouth of Zig Zigglar - some of the phrases he uses are literally the same as Zigglar's. If you want a book on the art of selling go buy Secrets of Closing the Sale and skip the middle man. You'll get x50 the amount of usable information.
The most disappointing, wow, that's tough. I wasted a credit and several hours on it... Actually - the most disappointing thing was the advice Cardone provides on using medications and immunisations. His advice is reckless and flies in the face of medical and scientific opinion (not to mention the fact it has absolutely no place in a book about sales). Telling people that thinking negatively will make them sick is factually incorrect and utterly offensive (lots of disabled kids out there GC). Telling people not to take prescription medicines because they prevent you selling effectively is just plain dangerous.
Ummmm, no. Questionable stories dripping with self-love fronting stolen ideas .
Anger definitely, rage even.
Seriously - just don't put yourself through it. You're worth more than this.
"Wow - great book"
The only reason I gave this book 5 stars is because 6 wasn't an option on the review
This is a great book easy on the ear and full of success strategy - read by Grant who absolutely walks his talk. You will not be disappointed and it will help change your life
You just going to look at the whole world in a different point of view and you won't take no for an answer! Great job
This book should be mandatory in schools.
I have been in sales & managed sales teams for years, yet feel like my career had only just begun. Thank you.
"Good Blueprint for Success"
Would highly recommend. Sometimes lacking substance but great overall outline. Delivered very well in entertaining and enthusiastic manner
"a manifesto for life"
I really enjoy Grant's message and authentic delivery. This audio book is valuable education at whichever stage in life you are.
"Great motivation and practical knowledge"
This book is full of energy and great practical knowledge you can apply right away. I have just started listening to it again.
"Second best, but only to 10X rule"
This is a truly special listen, sales is a life style not a job. If you're serious about making it as a great sales person, listen, act and more importantly start now!
