Timothy W. Ayers has been writing for over twenty years. He started out with articles on various topics then found a wide open market for his off-the-wall cartoons. Not long after that he was told that he was juvenile and should be writing juvenile novels. A writing career was born. His first middle-reader series entitled "Spinechillers Mysteries." under the pen-name Fred E. Katz, became bestsellers in the middle-reader fiction category. That series was followed by several non-fiction titles and min-plays. In 2016 he decided to venture back into the fiction market with his first adult thriller novel "The Sign of the End" released in February of that year. His latest novel (a cop thriller) entitled "Cruel Messenger" released October 1 of 2016 through Castle Gate Press. Cruel Messenger was selected at Best Speculative Fiction for 2017 by the Selah Awards. The book is also one of the finalists for the Realm Award in the same category. His sequel to Cruel Messenger, Don't Stare At the Devil will hopefully release in time for Christmas 2017. He is currently living along the Mississippi River and editing, a psychological thriller featuring a serial killer who leaves his clues in Beatles' song lyrics. Beatles fans and Beatles trivia fanatics who have read the first draft are excited about this well-crafted, plot twisting book called Magical Murder Mystery Tour. His next release is a time traveling adventure written with Jude B. Rennie. A ten-year-old boy travels into the past and into the life of one America's greatest heroes, Buffalo Bill Cody. Buffalo Bill and the Magic Amulet releases August of 2017.
