Widow of Detective Superintendent Ian Phoenix. Doctor of Psychology, (the Unconventional Psychologist), ex-military nurse, author and campaigner for justice across many fields. Her early campaigns were for the educational and communication rights of deaf children and their families in Northern Ireland. Losing her husband and both parents within months of each other became a catalyst for her to research complimentary therapies for the treatment of depression across the world. As a result, she became committed to sharing the dependence free path to wholeness and renewed happiness. (No recreational remedies apart from the occasional glass of single malt and a good wine, of which Ian would have approved!). She lived in France and Spain for 20 years of renewal. Her personal Journey of recovery is recorded in her book Out of the Shadows, A Journey from Grief. It continues to give comfort to those suffering loss. She now writes, runs occasional meditation workshops for people searching for transformation in life to get back their sense of purpose, with love and understanding. Her innovative workshops for grief and depression management were well known in Europe. She has hosted workshops, using her well-grounded sense of humour, in Italy, Ireland, England, Spain, France and U.S.A..
