I am a therapist and Founder of Harrogate Sanctuary. I have designed a modern programme that is bespoke and tailored to the needs of women who misuse alcohol, and have developed concern over they habit of wine time. There is no box ticking or script, each of my clients have their own needs met. The Sanctuary was born nearly 13 years ago after I had been in the grip of dependent drinking and failed miserably in finding appropriate care. I became well, and trained in CBT and addiction counselling, and am proud to say that we have now a stellar reputation and a 90% success rate. Shortly we hope to obtain Charity status that will enable us to do more work both here and in Europe and beyond. The Sober Revolution and soon the Six Week Plan I hope will start to change attitudes towards this hidden epidemic, and start a conversation openly and honestly. I now have a global client base, the revolution is gaining speed. I have been married to my stalwart husband for 27 years, live in the beautiful Yorkshire dales. I keep three very spoilt chickens, and love to cook and paint, I would say I love to garden, but am a little wild in delivery of that!
