John Driver is a husband, daddy, writer, and podcaster who has served his community as a minister for over two decades. He has authored, coauthored, or served as the primary collaborative writer for over twenty-eight books. John has been featured on Good Morning America (GMA3), Sirius XM radio, For The Love podcast, Typology podcast, and numerous other podcasts and media outlets. His 2021 release Not So Black and White: An Invitation to Honest Conversations About Race and Faith (Zondervan), coauthored alongside Reggie Dabbs is a courageous, challenging, and hope-filled look at how to be antiracist in America today John’s satirical solo project, The Ultimate Guide For The Avid Indoorsman (Harvest House), won the Best Book Award in the Humor category at the American Book Fest, as well as Silver awards in Humor for both the Independent Publisher Book Awards (IPPYs) and the Readers’ Favorite Awards. Among others, John has collaboratively written with authors like Enneagram coaches Beth and Jeff McCord, popular marriage speakers Dave and Ann Wilson, comedian Tim Hawkins, globally-acclaimed public school and event speaker Reggie Dabbs, the late cancer patient and “super fan” Tyler Trent whose viral story inspired millions, Pilot Company founder and CEO Jim Haslam II, and World Series Champion MLB pitcher Jaime Garcia. John earned a B.A. in History and a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he was a Whittle Scholar. Before transitioning into full time ministry and writing, he served as a secondary educator for several years, teaching history and math to public school students. (NOTE: he is not the Mennonite theologian and author by the same name.) Alongside comedian Jonnie W., John hosts a weekly podcast, Talk About That, which addresses current events, cultural currents, and matters of faith from a humorously disarming, lighthearted, and yet honestly direct approach. He also serves as the executive & teaching pastor at The Church At Pleasant Grove just outside Nashville. He is represented by the Wolgemuth & Associates literary agency.
