I'm an author of contemporary romance, a reader of just about everything including YA, cozy mysteries, romantic suspense and historical novels. And catalogs - I just love it when the newest Pottery Barn catalog shows up. I imagine that someday I might have a house that put together. Like a lot of writers, I feel like I was born with a pen in my hand - even though I use a computer. I've certainly always been a great reader, starting with every Nancy Drew book out there, moving onto Agatha Christie and Harlequin Romances - yup, books are more real to me than real life, so that's why I decided to write them. I have three kids and am married to my high school sweetheart - yup, no fooling there. I like to cook, make chocolate chip cookies and try to garden but mostly I wind up killing things. I guess keeping the kids safe, (mostly) clean and fed comes first in my priority list. I grew up in Manhattan and a small town on Long Island. While there's something to be said about the hustle and bustle of the city, I am really a small town girl at heart. And I love the water, which is why I set my series in a small fictional Connecticut town. Growing up I spent a lot of time boating along both sides of Long Island Sound and I have a lot of appreciation for the towns, people and landscape of the area.
