Deirdre Mendez is an intercultural consultant, trainer, and educator who helps multinational companies identify and resolve culturally based conflict. Her ARC Cultural Analysis system empowers managers to anticipate and solve culturally based problems to minimize risk and achieve superior performance in international partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions. After twenty years as a consultant in international management, she joined the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) at The University of Texas at Austin, where she is currently Associate Director for Cultural Programs. A member of the faculties of management and marketing at the McCombs school of Business, she coaches students and executives in strategies for global team management, negotiation, employee retention, and corporate integration.
