Ever since I discovered The Lord of the Rings, I've wanted to write. I was gripped by Tolkien's world and characters, and by how he could plot something so large and intricate. Which is why my first novel, DARK MATTER, is a biology-based-paranormal-fantasy-with-a-twist-of-science-fiction-adventure-and-just-a-hint-of-thriller. It took five years to write and led to a lot of counseling. My second book, STRAWMAN MADE STEEL, is hard-boiled detective fiction with a side of sci-fi, and simpler ;) My third book, BLOOD AND INK, is a straight-up thriller. Not to give anything away, but if you ever stumble on what appears to be research for a murder novel, my advice is call the police. I live in Perth, Australia, with my awesome wife and three (awesome) children. I have a PhD in Computer Science, and develop mobile applications.
