Metaphysical Aliens

Iris Murdoch, Mary Midgley, Philippa Foot and Elizabeth Anscombe were philosophy students at Oxford during the Second World War when most male undergraduates (and many tutors) were conscripted. Taught by refugee scholars, women and conscientious objectors, the four friends developed a philosophy that could respond to the war's darkest revelations.

Suki thought she knew what she'd signed up for when her pal, Rishi, invited her to a corporate party at one of the new alien fetish clubs. The new "must have" experience for the uber-rich and uber-bored supposedly involved sex-starved aliens who could give orgasms just by looking at a person. But when Suki arrives, she soon finds out that the clubs are really about something else entirely.

John Sarangan wanted nothing more than to be left alone. He despised all humans, all the terran noise. So when the opportunity arose for him to work by himself at the Moonbase running geophysical surveys, he jumped at the opportunity.
