Jack Oujo spent eight years in the minor leagues pursuing the dream of becoming a major league umpire. This book takes you on his journey, from the decision to become an umpire, through the endless and often cramped travels, low pay, and interactions with players, managers and supervisory personnel, to his abrupt and callous release—by mail, no less. What does someone do when their career vision becomes a nightmare? For Jack, this was no time for despondency. He was 30 years old, broke, and married with his first child on the way.

In 2005, Steve Jobs gave a commencement address to the 114th graduating class at Stanford University. This speech went on to reach 26 million online viewers worldwide and framed 'three stories' that succinctly summed up the most important life-changing lessons Jobs learned in life. Life by Design begins with Jobs' own words from this historical speech and expands outwards from there, giving insights into his personal and business philosophies.
