Worlds at War

The year is 1940 on Earth. It's the Year of Joining on Aerth. Two worlds set to collide thanks to the German Reich and their occult research program. World War II is just starting. The Germans are rolling through France, the Brits are planning to evacuate from Dunkirk, and a few of the French generals are already considering the quickest way to surrender. Then it all changes. The Germans open up a gate to Aerth over Rotterdam and it doesn't go as they plan. Aerth's armies, under guidance from the human wizard Hagirr, march into our world to take it from us.

World War II started two months ago. And then fizzled out like a wet fuse, at least in Europe. An otherworldly army has invaded Earth. The Axis and the Allies must work together if they are to stop it. Ernst Haufmann, Director of Ahnenerbe, the German Reich's research into the occult, thinks he knows a way to stop the invasion forces so that Germany can once again resume its own plans for world domination. The powers behind the invasion from Aerth believe so as well. They'll do anything to find the ancient artifact Ernst seeks before Ernst does.

Events continue to unfold on Aerth and Earth. WWII in Europe has come mostly to a halt, although Germany is, as was the case in that time, behaving badly. The United States has come to Europe earlier than in our timeline, fighting on the ground in France. Not against the Germans, but against the dead. The machinations of Hagirr and Elianna continue to wreak havoc on both worlds, and while the two powerful wizards are lovers, they do not always share the same goals.

Three teams of warriors are on Aerth - two human, one Dwarven. All three want the Gate over Rotterdam closed, and all three are working separately to accomplish their goals. At the same time, the situation on Earth is detiorating. Germany is once again at war, this time with the Swiss. The unstable situation in Germany's leadership only gets worse as Hagirr's mate and powerful sorceress does her job of keeping humanity off balance. Fascist Germany is her tool. Or is it?
