The Wilmington Files

This is a short story about the events that happened during a vacation in the South in the life of Jo Danning, a retired military linguist. She and her son, Casey, spend time with her grandmother while odd events unfold that surround a nearby house beside her grandmother's garden. Something evil is under the ground; something wicked from the past. Jo Danning only wanted to get to Wilmington, North Carolina as soon as possible. She wanted to start her new life with her son, Casey.

A serial killer is being protected, but others are seeking justice. Jo Danning uses her supernatural gifts to track down the killer by listening to voices that cry out from another dimension and another time.

Agent Jo Danning is trapped inside a nightmare, constrained by a coma, while her friends attempt to solve a murder mystery at a local hospital. In this third Jo Danning short story, Jo explores the connection between faith and proof. She also obtains a new sidekick along the way. Jo attempts to drop clues for her friends, but her time is running out, as a doctor plots her real-life death.
