The World of Faerie teeters on the edge of war. Mab, Queen of Air and Darkness, threatens the balance between Summer and Winter. Both courts of the Fey seek the Mortal Champion to win to their cause.

Maeve revels in her victory over Corrigan. Gunnar, the mortal champion, has fallen in love with the passionate Pixie. But Corrigan isn't out of the fight. And Winter's emissary plays for keeps. Maeve spreads love across the college campus, playing matchmaker to undo the damage Corrigan's magic has caused on campus. But Winter's emissary plots Maeve's death. Once the Pixie is dead, the love protecting Gunnar will fade. Will the Pixie fall into Corrigan's trap? Or will she be saved by her mortal champion?

Corrigan's illusions have painted Maeve as a monster in her fiancé Gunnar's eyes. Maeve blindly stepped into Corrigan's trap. Gunnar has fallen for Corrigan's lies, and despair fills the pixie's heart. His heart hurt by Corrigan's lies, Gunnar turns to the dark fey and finds solace in her arms. Maeve needs to find the courage to get back up and fight for her man. If she doesn't, the Mortal Champion will be bound to Corrigan and the Court of Summer will lose the looming war with Winter. But how can one pixie overcome the cunning of Corrigan?
