The Gullington has never been more unsafe. Harboring dragon eggs is dangerous business. Sophia Beaufont feels the pressure to protect and also defend like never before. Being a mama to eggs isn’t easy, and yet, S. Beaufont would have it no other way.

Dragon eggs have been stolen, but Sophia isn’t deterred. She will get them back and make the thieves suffer - once she figures out where to look for them.... The stakes are higher than ever as Sophia is sent on mission after mission to help the Dragon Elite, do Subner’s bidding, and also save those at the Gullington who are still cursed. Quiet might be better, but the housekeeper for the castle is still sick. Sophia won’t stop until she finds a cure for Ainsley. But saving the eggs, the housekeeper, and her friends is going to take harnessing the strongest power in the world.

Sophia Beaufont hopes that she can turn an enemy into an ally. She just has to track down the steampunk cyborg. The problem is that Trin Currante thinks the Dragon Elite want her dead. And she’s excellent at avoiding death - as her history of surviving and prevailing over adversity has shown. Meanwhile, Hiker still struggles to hone his powers.... Regardless of his strength, Ainsley doesn’t show signs of softening toward the leader of the Dragon Elite. If anything, he should fear the housekeeper might poison his next meal.

It’s hard for S. Beaufont to imagine that dragons were nearly extinct when they’re now hatching so rapidly. However, for every good dragon, there’s an evil one. That’s the way the angels set it up. But can things be changed? Can an evil dragon turn good? And if so, is it possible a good one can switch, too? As new evils lurk in the world, Sophia works to manage the new population at the Gullington. Never before were there so many possibilities for maintaining justice. But never before were there so many trying to break the law.

S. Beaufont is about to learn firsthand that good doesn’t exist without evil. Crushing evil only makes it expand. That’s why the Dragon Elite are trying to protect the demon dragons. But fighting the politics surrounding them isn’t easy. And when mortals fear that evil dragons will take over the world they become an irrational force. Sophia has to do what she does best and employ strategy to overcome perceptions. And if that doesn’t work then she’s going to kick some serious butt to protect her dragons.

Nevin Goosemen has lost everything: his career as a politician, his magitech army, and his reputation. He’s very, very angry at the Dragon Elite, and he’s going to try and make them pay with their lives. The Dragon Elite have had their fair share of enemies, but no one like this. Nevin Goosemen isn’t going to rest until he’s destroyed every single dragon and rider. It’ll be a race to protect the demon dragons before it’s too late.
