The Duke Grandfather Saga

From the moment I first saw the barbarian and what he did to the goblin, my life was destined. Not that the goblin didn’t deserve it, mind you. Once I was established, life was grand. I loved my job and the freedom it gave me to sleep late and drink ale whenever I wanted. And then that dwarf changed everything. Orcs in love, elder beings, and rogue witches’ brooms. I’ve seen it all. I’ve even had to kill a friend. Pull up a chair. Buy me an ale or three, and in return, I’ll tell you all about it. 

Duke's life has changed a lot over the last year. He's still the number one Nuisance Man in Capital City, but now, only chases down those whose guilt has been proven. A new attitude that doesn't always sit well with the other Nuisance Men, or the old guard of the Watch. He's firmly tied to the beautiful and deadly necromancer Lilly, who, as it turns out, comes from a fabulously rich family. Oh, and someone is out to get him.

Duke's not alone in his own head...but does the voice sharing it want to help or hinder? Duke Grandfather has refused to tell the story of where he got his famous gun. Now, he relents and tells the tale from start to finish. But it's not as cut and dry as it seems. Duke didn't just wake up and find it one day. First, he had to endure sharing his head with a mysterious voice. One that's nice to him, as long as he does what it wants. Add in an overly large orc who won't leave him alone, and it's all Duke can do to survive, let alone retrieve a magic item. Will it be worth it in the end?
