Phoenix Heart: Season Two

Caught in the middle of a coup attempt, a vicious war on phoenixes, and a curse brought down on them by an ancient octopus religion, Sersha and Kazmerev must dig deep to find ways to save their friends and their world. But when they are pushed to the very limits both physically and in their friendship, will they have what it takes to keep on fighting for hope, or will they fall into despair?

What can a phoenix rider do when her phoenix is missing? Alone in Briccatore with an untrustworthy ally and no phoenix available, Sersha is in over her head. The sun is stuck in the sky and until night falls again, she is on her own. Can new friends, new puzzles, and the return of unexpected allies be enough to help her realize the last wish of a dying man?

Cut off from her phoenix by an endless dawn and captured by enemies, Sersha is about to learn who really cares about her and about saving their world. The Flamerarch who threatened her in Briccatore are just as trapped as she is, the ai'sletta and her other friends have left without her, and now even her phoenix is unreachable. Hope is dwindling in all of Briccatore, but maybe there is still a reason to persevere.

Fleeing invaders and desperate to fulfill the prophecy in time to help the ai'sletta, Sersha, Judicus, and Kazmerev must dig deeper than ever before in their quest to save the phoenixes and all of Calicarn from the predations of the Stryxex and those who ally with them. But Sersha is starting to wonder if the prophecies are what they seem when events twist in ways she'd never expected.

Rescued unexpectedly by allies and stuck in a foreign land, Sersha, Kazmerev, and Judicus must face the fact that nothing is what it seems and all their efforts have only played into the hands of their enemies. But the darkest times are not the time to give up hope, and together, they must choose to face the darkness and embrace a plan that could lead to their deaths.
