Fire Witches of Salem

People love to claim they're descendants of the witches they couldn't burn. We actually are. Our ancestors literally could not be set on fire. Neither can we. My sisters and I are elemental witches, and fire is ours to command. The veil between worlds is thin in Salem, and we belong to the order of witches duty-bound to keep the monsters at bay. But we've got two problems. One: Our bloodline is cursed. One of us is meant to destroy every witch in our coven. Two: I've accidentally possessed myself with a demon.

They call me the Ink Master. Sounds badass, right? I come from a long line of monster hunters, so why not? Don't get too excited. It's just a fancy word for librarian. In reality, I'm the most inept witch who ever had the nerve to call Salem her home. And I've just possessed myself with a demon. Yep, I accidentally invited him in, trapped him in my head, and I don't know how to get him out. And let me tell you, he is pissed. He's not just any demon either. When I flub, it has to be epic, so I summoned Chaos himself. As if I'm not enough of a hot mess on my own.

The demon is out of my head, but my problems are only beginning. The veil between worlds is ripping open, and all kinds of nastiness is getting through. Normally, I'd say no problem. It's our job to keep Salem safe. But I just found out there's a curse on my coven, and the demon I exorcised is the only one who can save us. Well, he and his two brothers, whom we also have to summon. Yay. As if handling one Prince of Hell isn't enough of a hassle. But if we can't find them, I'm doomed to murder my entire coven.

We found his brother, but then we lost him again. There's a traitor in our midst who's thwarting us at every turn, and if we can't summon the next demon, the entire town…heck, maybe the world…will be in peril.

Me, fated to a demon? Not a chance. But Mayhem is buying into this soulmate business, moving in and trying to put down roots in my life. For every crack he makes in the wall around my heart, I slap on some mortar and add another brick. The problem? The closer he gets, the more I want to let it all crumble. Because, when it comes to saving the world, maybe letting a demon love me is the only way I'll win.

Who died and made me queen? Technically nobody, but my mom and sister did take an impromptu trip to the underworld, forcing me into the role of high priestess of the Salem coven. And I am so not cut out for the job. As if that's not enough responsibility for one witch to handle, I still have to summon a ticked off demon prince, convince him to help us break the family curse, and battle the beasties slipping through the rifts in the thinning veil… while hiding the fact that we're the ones who caused the rifts in the first place. Holy Hecate. Fighting monsters I can handle. Leading a coven?

Mayhem is the most difficult, infuriating man I have ever laid eyes on. So why is it that all I can think about is laying…ahem…myself on him? My sister thinks he and I are fated mates. I think she's taken one too many hits with a basilisk's tail. Me, fated to a demon prince? Not a chance.

I’m running a coven and trying to break a curse so we can stop the fabric of reality from unraveling around us…and I am screwing it up every chance I get. It's the only way to save my sister, my parents, and my entire coven from extinction. Yes, the demon is a prince. Yes, bringing a being with that much power across the veil might cause a rift or two, but it's nothing a Holland witch can't handle. Besides, he'll owe me one.
