Fiction That Transforms

Jayne is ready to give up. She's 29 years old and is ready to throw in the towel. Everything seems to be crashing down on her. At 313 pounds, she has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and diabetes. The doctor told her to lose 100 pounds or she will be dead within five years. She feels stuck with no way to go forward and she doesn't want to keep going backward. Giving up sugar and carbs sounds impossible. Still, she knows something has to change. Slowly, she must discard her bad habits and embrace good habits that will lead her toward health, purpose, and real life.

Jayne longs to reconnect. Her life hasn't been easy. She's learning, though, that even in the tragedies, beauty can come from ashes when she trusts God. She has no idea if she can find her long, lost sister. And if she does, can she help her sister overcome all she has been through? All Jayne knows is, she has to try. She so wants to reconnect with the piece of her sister's warmth that she remembers, but she learns she must connect with God first.
